The following products include some long time favorites and some newer to my collection.
When Urban Decay announced that they were going to discontinue their original Naked palette, it came as a shock that they were going to retire this iconic product. It is available at a discount at all retailers where its sold but why not take advantage of the extra discount on the already slashed price!
Tatcha The Pearl Tinted Eye Illuminating Treatment:
My love of Tatcha skincare products is well documented throughout my Instagram account so when they launched an eye treatment, I didn’t hesitate to pick it up. This has been my go-to throughout the summer as I tend to go makeup free. The treatment is not a concealer but does have pigments in it which cancels out darkness in the under eye area while delivering a beautiful brightening affect. I pair this with my First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Tinted Moisturizer and I’m good to go for the day. It acts like a tinted moisturizer for my dark circles!
Sephora Collection Bright Future Color Corrector (Melon):
In my opinion, the most underrated line available at Sephora is their own line, Sephora Collection. Their brushes and complexion products are some of the best I’ve tried. One product that is a must have for me is their color corrector in Melon. It is by far, the most lightweight orange based product that corrects and brightens my dark circles. Before I included this into my routine, my concealers would always look a bit ashy.
Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion Ultra Longwear Concealer:
I’ve been trying so many concealers lately to replace my Tarte Shape Tape. While Shape Tape provides great coverage, I found it accentuating fine lines and dryness in my under-eye area. In comes Laura Merceir’s Flawless Fusion concealer which provides a hydrating, easy to blend formula that provides medium to full coverage.
Fresh Beauty Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask:
Some of my most favorite face masks are from Fresh Beauty and one that stands out from their line is the Black Tea Instant Perfecting mask. This summer was packed with weddings and other events and I would reach for this mask the morning of to give a boost to my skin before applying makeup. Fresh Beauty recently launched mini versions so it is a perfect chance to grab the minis on a discount before investing in a full sized product.
Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminzer:
If I lost all of my lip products (which would be a nightmare) and could only have one, this lip gloss would be it. I’ve been using it non stop since I purchased it and at first I was worried that it would be too thick but it wears beautifully and is not sticky!
Volition Beauty Turmeric Brightening Polish:
Exfoliation is probably my most favorite skincare step. This polish is gentle enough to use daily without irritating my skin. Bonus points that it is packed with the superfood, Turmeric which reminds me of my South Asian roots.
While this serum is a newer addition to my night time routine, it has left a positive impact already. My PM routine is multi layered and I prefer using products that are highly effective and this resurfacing serum packed with an AHA/BHA/flower acid blend has me waking up to a more smoother complexion. I will update a full review when I have had more time with it but you can’t go wrong with Farmacy products in general.
Dr. Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Peel Pads:
These handy pads come in a variety of strengths and provide a quick preparation for skincare and makeup application. My personal favorite strength is their Universal Daily Peel pad. I traveled a good amount over the past few months and these were so easy to just throw in my makeup bag.
Drunk Elephant D-Bronzi Anti Pollution Sunshine Drops:
While this product was gifted to me generously by Drunk Elephant, I would easily repurchase this with my own money. To utilize it, you mix it in with other products and the result is a beautiful healthy bronze sheen to the skin. I tried mixing it with various products and my go to combination was with their own Marula Oil. I loved how the lightweight oil enhanced the sheen and it blended with ease without leaving behind any streaks.
My beauty arsenal always consists of a facial mist and Caudalie’s is one that I’ve repurchased multiple times. The scent reminds me of a spa and it provides a punch of hydration. I like to store my bottles in the refrigerator to provide an extra dose of cooling and refreshment.
Briogeo Scalp Revival Charcoal + Coconut Oil Micro-exfoliating Shampoo:
Another product repurchased multiple times is this Briogeo shampoo that helps with scalp health by providing exfoliation without drying out my hair. I use salt scrubs as well but those need to be used sparingly where as this can be used multiple times a week. The best part is that it smells like mint chocolate chip which was my favorite ice cream flavor growing up so I get hit with a dose of nostalgia every time I use it.
Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream:
It is no hidden thing that I am an absolute skincare lover and on the top of the list of my favorite products is this moisturizer. I rarely even reached for a moisturizer as a teenager (I know, how can I call myself a skincare lover) but once I picked this face cream on a whim, there was no looking back. I’ve gone through endless jars of it and will continue to always have this on hand because of how supple it leaves my skin feeling.
This is a general category but Hourglass can do no wrong when it comes to powders in my opinion. They are some of the most finely milled yet still pigmented powders in my collection. Their Ambient powders, blushes and bronzers are my makeup must haves and can be used as a flush of color or be built up to your liking.
